Our Story - Continued...
In the late sixties, Angelo left Italy due to political unrest and an uncertain economy. Angelo came to the United States and worked in various industries, but soon realized his mission in life was to bring the same food experience to customers in the United States. In 1988, Angelo moved to Boston where he opened Tutto Italiano, which means “All Italian”. Angelo’s passion for fine food soon became a reality again, and Tutto Italiano offered gourmet Italian foods from prosciutto to fine olive oils. Angelo recognized the core product that brought all these extraordinary flavors and fragrances together was bread! Angelo soon bought an Italian deck oven and began baking bread. Combining the wonderful ingredients of the bread and gourmet foods, a sandwich offering was developed. Unlike other sandwich shops, there was not a menu. To this day, every customer who visits Tutto Italiano can request a ‘custom’ sandwich with any number of exceptional ingredients. Angelo wants each customer to have a special eating experience, specific to their own tastes.
As the years have gone by Angelo recognized the extraordinary value of combining family life with running a small business. His wife, Maria, daughter, Marilena, and son, Emilio are involved in the every day operations of Tutto Italiano. Today, Tutto Italiano offers 200 cuts of pasta, a fine selection of oils, and a number of Italian cuisine items too numerous to mention. The store has remained true to it’s name, everything is from Italy!
